Grades 1-9 Delivery Options:
1. Print-Based Course
Program (Grades 1-4)
- This allows teachers and parents greater flexibility in meeting the outcomes of the Alberta Programs of Study.
- Parents are actively involved in working with the course teacher to set the schedule for learning.
- Access to flexible, daily instruction by Alberta certified teachers.
- Regular assessments are conducted throughout the year to meet required outcomes.

2. Online Course
Program (Grades 5-9)
- The CFL@HOME selects the resources and sets the schedule for learning.
- CFL@HOME provides the textbooks and required resources.
- Regular assessments are conducted by the teacher throughout the year to meet required outcomes.

3. Shared Responsibility
Program (Grades 1-9)
Shared Responsibility is a program offered at The Centre for Learning@HOME for students in Grade 1 to Grade 9. This program allows parents and teachers to work together on a learning program for the student.
- Parents collaborate with a student services teacher to design the program that works best for the student.
- The program consists of a combination of online (grades 5-9) and/or print-based (grades 1-4) courses delivered by a CFL teacher with the remainder of courses being part of a Parent-Directed Home Education Program Plan.
- Online and print-based courses are teacher-directed. Instruction and assessment meets the outcomes of the Alberta Programs of Study.
- Parents receive regular progress reports and communication from teachers.
- Teachers are accessible on a daily basis.
- A percentage of Home Education Funding is available to support your child’s Parent-Directed Home Education Program Plan.

1. Full
Online Course Program
- The CFL@HOME selects the resources based on the Alberta Programs of Study.
- CFL@HOME provides the textbooks and required resources.
- Teacher-directed program with a set schedule for learning.
- Regular assessments are conducted by the teacher throughout the year to meet required outcomes.
- Courses follow the Alberta Curriculum.
- Students are programmed in courses to meet the Alberta Diploma requirements.
- Students access their learning in live classes and through Canvas.
- Live classes are recorded to increase flexibility.

2. Online
Summer School – Grades 10-12
- Study from the convenience of your own home.
- Complete courses in 12 (3 credit courses) or 20 (5 credit courses) days.
- A great way to try online learning!
- Students can take courses for the first time, or redo courses to upgrade their mark.
- Students in Grade 9 can take Summer School courses in July of the same year.
